I teach English Literature at Fraser International College, and I have grand dreams of one day being a real writer. I live in Port Moody with my wife and four-year old son, and spend far too much money on food and travel. I’ve spent time living in Japan (2002-2005), have been a fan of both SF and Fantasy since a young age, and am working on two novels: Kingmaker (working title), a fantasy which is currently at 86,000 words; and Flight of the Gagarin, an SF that’s sitting at just over 50k. If I ever get either of them completed, I’ll be sure to mention it here. For now, I hope you enjoy my rather esoteric collection of book, movie and television reviews. I may start adding other kinds of reviews in the future: games, beer, and other things I like.
My television reviews are a combination of episode synopsis and review; for all other formats, they are straight reviews with a minimum of spoilers. As such, all television reviews come with a spoiler warning prior to the break, meaning that anyone who clicks through is already aware of what they will find in the complete article.
Television shows I am currently reviewing, as new episodes air: Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I may add more in future, time permitting – my reviews tend to the longer side, as I include full plot synopses at the same time.
Books and movies I review: anything that catches my fancy, although I have an affinity for SF and Fantasy.
If you would like to contact me regarding any of my reviews, or for any other reason, I can be found here: email@example.com
